Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics Launches 2025 International Summer Camp to Foster China-Foreign Youth Cultural Exchange
To further advance cultural exchanges between Chinese and international youth and strengthen ties with overseas partner institutions, the "2025 Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) International Summer Camp & Sino-American Youth People-to-People Cultural Exchange Camp" commenced its opening ceremony on the morning of June 25. Supported by higher authorities, the event is co-hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and JUFE.
Under the theme "Discover Jiangxi," the camp has attracted 72 international students from 25 countries – including the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Brazil, and Argentina – alongside 50 Chinese participants.
Distinguished attendees included:
Li Yuqiang, Deputy Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Foreign Affairs Office;
Lei Jiehua, Level-II Inspector of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education;
Liu Yaobin, Party Secretary of JUFE;
Yuan Honglin, Vice President of JUFE.
In his address, Vice President Yuan Honglin highlighted that this year’s camp sets new records in scale, participating countries, and program diversity, calling it "a vital platform to deepen global cultural exchanges." He urged participants to "become in-depth explorers of culture and ambassadors of exchange," adding: "With youth’s unique wisdom and passion, let us compose a splendid chapter of peace, friendship, and solidarity while contributing youthful energy to building a better world."
Representatives from both international and Chinese delegations delivered speeches expressing eagerness for cross-cultural engagement and commitment to advancing mutual understanding.
During the ceremony, dignitaries jointly initiated the camp’s opening and presented flags to delegate representatives. The flag handover ceremony symbolized the beginning of a cultural journey and the youth’s shared mission.
A cultural performance segment featured dynamic exchanges of Chinese heritage and global arts: Chinese Kung Fu demonstrations; Traditional Chinese dance "After the Rain"; International campers’ guitar-accompanied chorus of "Count on Me," eliciting enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Over the 10-day program, campers will: Attend lectures on digital economy and artificial intelligence; Experience intangible cultural heritage workshops; Conduct cultural field trips to Fuzhou, Wuyuan, and Jingdezhen.
